We are seeking to employ a Safety Officer in QMS Division to ensure that an effective Safety is initiated and maintained to meet all regulatory requirements and safety standards.

                                                               SAFETY OFFICER

Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma 3 (D3) or Bachelor Degree from any discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years safety experience as Safety Officer
  • Understand Safety Management System
  • Good knowledge / experience in preparing Safety Procedure
  • Have Certificate of K3 Expert in General or Chemical
  • Have experience in ISO 14000:2004 Environmental Management
  • Through knowledge of Laboratory Guidelines and Quality Assurance
Job Specification
Job Objective
  • Ensure that an effective Safety is initiated and maintained to meet all regulatory requirements and Quality Assurance also Safety Standards.
  • Responsible for review, assessments and safety training of all laboratory and development activities, including process safety self-inspections. Assist with projects on an on-going basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implementation and continual improvement of the laboratory in Safety and Quality Management System
  • Review and analytical development
  • Training of staff with aspects related to safety process and documentation
  • Generate Risk Assessment Reports and conduct special investigations/root cause analysis
  • Update and or initiate relevant Standard Operating Procedures in Safety
  • Perform daily inspection and internal audits in Safety and follow up
  • Responsible to safe condition of working environment
Core Competencies
  • Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 18001, ISO 14000, ISO 17020 and ISO 17025
  • Professionally competent (have been involved in the preparation of safety procedure and having K3 certification is more advantage)
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Good leadership and motivational skills
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office, MS Excel)
